Safety over Designing
Creating a healthy and safe environment is one of the few things that an interior designer must always consider. A good interior designer should be able to come up with ideas on how his or her clients would have a safe place to live in, but satisfy their insistence at the same time. It is like building a
roll cage inside a car, without letting the driver notice that there is a number of steel installed inside. You have to make sure that the steel that you use is as shiny as a stainless bar so that the driver would think it is just part of the interiors.
As the interior designer, the most frustrating part should be keeping up with the client’s demand, while trying to follow regulations and code of practice, as implemented by law, like trying to bite a bronze bar and juggling chainsaws at the same time. The solution here is to make sure that you listen to your clients and basically reply to their needs physically and emotionally. You have to make sure that you are in control of everything, while also making sure that you make your client feel he has the control so you could concentrate more on how the design should be.
